Presently he is Branch Chief of the Canadian Kyokushin Karate Organization responsible for the Western & Central regions. As well as Head Instructor of the Richmond Kyokushin Karate Club, South Arm Dojo. Terry Price – 4th Dan

I started training in kyokushin karate in 1982 under Senpai Jeff Fast. In 1987 I opened the Shuswap dojo in Salmon Arm, operating the club there until I moved to Vancouver in 1999. Since that time I have been training and instructing at the South Arm dojo in Richmond.
My history includes competition in kata and kumite, and extensive training in self defence under the instruction of Shihan Bobby Lowe. I have travelled regularly throughout the years for training and competitions in Canada, Japan, New York, Honolulu and more.
I have also been deeply involved with officiating, receiving my IKO referees certification in 2004.

Daniel Ogloff – 2nd Dan

Dan began his training in Chito-ryu karate from 1988 to 1994 and earned the rank of 1st kyu.  In 1995 Dan began training in Kyokushin karate at the Rocky Mountain Dojo under the guidance of Shihan Don Corrigal.  In 2002 Dan moved to Vancouver and continued his training at the Richmond Dojo under the guidance of Shihan Stuart Corrigal.  Dan has been instructing children’s and junior’s classes for several years both at the Rocky Mountain Dojo and the Richmond Dojo.  Dan continues to teach and train at the Richmond Dojo and currently holds the rank of Nidan.

Arthur Leithman – Shodan

My life in Kyokushin Karate started at the age of 6 when my parents thought I needed to become more confident and learn self-discipline. I have been training since 1986, and obtained my Shodan in 2000. Since then, I have competed in many tournaments, locally and abroad, in various countries, such as Papua New Guinea, Australia ,New Zealand,  Israel and the United States, culminating in being selected for the North American Team to participate in the 2003 – 8th World Tournament. During my training, I moved to Australia and lived as an Ushi Deshi and instructor under Sensai Ralph Burd at the Young Lions Dojo in Melbourne. While there, I had the honor of doing some travelling with Shihan Lowe and Shihan Corrigal participating in various self-defense seminars. Currently, I train and teach at the Richmond Dojo.

Bruce Laffling – Shodan

Bruce has been athletically active in sports all his life, including 15 years coaching experience – all age levels. His karate training and experience has spanned 3 different tenures in Richmond, BC, and has witnessed the evolution of Kyokushin in Western Canada. Originally began 1976 – 80 under Sensei Tony Severs, returned 1984 – 89 under Shihan Stuart Corrigal, returned 2004 to present under Shihan Stuart Corrigal and Sensei Terry Price.  Over the years has competed in Jissen Kumite and Kata tournaments at Washington State Championships in Seattle, BC Open Championships at SFU, Canadian Championships at UBC and BCIT, and Newton – achieving some successful placements, and a Spirit Award. Has participated in self defence classes to civilians. Since 2004 attends yearly training camps and Black Belt camps under Shihan’s Stuart and Don Corrigal, North America & International Black Belt conferences under various International Instructors, and seminars to advance his knowledge. IKOKC certified official since 2009 and officiates in local and Canadian’s tournaments.  Achieved Shodan in 2011. Bruce continues to train and occasionally visits other dojos.
